Our Story
Our ceremony will be small and sacred, held in the Londolozi leadwood forest, one of our spiritual homes. Leadwood trees, with their centuries-old presence, bear witness to the generations who came before us. We chose to wed beneath a unique tree where a leadwood and an ebony have grown together as one—another living symbol of the unity we celebrate. This is the place where we’ll share our vows, surrounded by the love and energy of those we hold closest.
We’re excited to create this beautiful moment with you, our dearest family and friends. We wish for this to be a celebration not of fanfare, but of heartfelt connection, and for everyone to feel simply present and connected in the space of love.
Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping us bring our dreams to life.
With love,
Boyd & Chloe

We met on December 23, 2023, and fell in love almost instantly, in a sunlit rock pool on Robberg. Our connection felt both fresh and familiar, as though we had known each other across lifetimes, and as though it was always meant to be. Just days later, we found ourselves sitting together in ceremony at Londolozi, dreaming of what our lives could look like. From that moment, we learned that anything we dream together takes root and grows fast.
In our dreams, we saw Costa Rican waves, time with family, summers in Austin, winters in Londolozi, and a wedding in an ancient African forest with the people we hold most dear. We dreamed of standing beneath two trees whose roots have mingled together to become one—a symbol of our union—and of the future we wish to build with each other and, someday, our children.
On that first trip to the bush together, we each found a lilac-breasted roller feather, a special gift from the land itself. These feathers have long been used by the Bushmen as tokens of love, gifted to future wives for their beauty, and they felt like nature’s own blessing on our bond.
